THE S.O.S. HELPING PROJECT OF FLOODS VICTIMS
IN DEVELOPMENT!
A whole country beheld the materialization of Bacovian poetry. Many felt the wave hitting them from behind and plunged in a nightmarish aquatic experience. Over 8500 people were evacuated, 25127 houses damaged, and 3571 destroyed. Looking at the victims, one sees the work of social discrimination, even in the face of such event. The 'Baron' Oprisan surrounded his house with sandbags and covered the gates of his property with protective plastic sheets. He knew about the danger in the winds, but the poor villagers knew nothing, until 2:00 one night when awaken by the sound of pouring waters. Living stock in their gardens drowned to their death, unable to fight the water fury. Before too long dirty waters and silt wiped out everything in their way!
The natural question would then be; why would God allow such a terrible thing? And I am not referring to the Governments that ruined our country, but to them watery hordes that wasted 31 counties?
In order to avoid a facile answer to a question that can be a doctorate thesis in theology, I will say that in situations such as this we must firstly respond with solutions that would bring immediate comfort to the unfortunate victims, and then rectify the wrong.
Therefore we launched an SOS and received immediate response: over 4107, 50 RON (or 41.075.000 ROL).
Add to that food supply and clothing which filled six vans that reached Comanesti, Tirgul Ocna. Darmanesti, Suruia, Biliesti, Namoloasa, and many more!
Look to these pictures, they have a message... (Mihail Măndoiu)
